The treasure map is READY!

I am so excited to share this treasure map with you. It was created as a supplement to the children's story, The Gift Way Up in the Closet by Dawn Nicole Anthony. Check out the other blog entitled "Story walk" to find out more about that.

This treasure map is based on the desert plants that you will find outside the church building at the UUCT. If you are not able to go there, I am sure you will be able to find these desert plants in other places around Tucson.

You can find the treasure map in the new RE engagement pilot program (available at this website) by clicking through these bubbles...

For the story walk experience, here is what I suggest:

1.Look for the book, The Gift Way Up in the Closet by Dawn Nicole Anthony in the little lending library. If you cannot find it, you can listen to it here.

2.Find a shady spot to sit and read/listen to the book. Notice that the main character, Melody, has a hidden gift. You will find out what it is at the end of the book! Please be sure to return the book to the library when you are done so other folks can read it too.

3.Now venture out into the open area on the west side of the UUCT campus. Use this treasure map to find the desert plants that have hidden gifts just like Melody. By the way, all of these photos were taken on the UUCT campus. Have fun!
